Is perhaps one of the worst routers I've purchased. It isn't cheap, and the reliability was bad. The only upside was that it had an excellent wireless reception. I had one of these units fail on me (it kept rebooting), so I requested an RMA from 3com. All good, I got another through, which was also broken. Sent that back, then they sent another. They then wanted me to send my original faulty router to the Netherlands, out of my own pocket. That would of cost quite a bit, as they wanted me to send it in the original box. I refused, they got into a huff, then I never heard from them since. The replacement router also died later on. The service and the products at 3com do not impress me.
I am now in need of a good, working router, so I opened one of my OfficeConnects in the hope I could find a JTAG flash header.
I seems there is one, or at least it looks like one. The remaining problem is determining which manufacturer the CPU/FPGA device is made by, and getting a raw dump of the 3com firmware to flash onto the chip.
